Seems like a modified flying wedge. Teams should get rugby coaches to coach, but my question is if philly has a 90% success rate, why not do it (go for 2) after every Td
Even if they drop to 75% at 2 yards, it would generally be worth it

Because kicking the extra point has a 95% success rate.

75% of 2 points is better than 100% of a PAT

You have to have a QB that can run it. Hurts squats 500 or 600 pounds.

It's exactly what he said.

75% of 2 is 1.5 pts per attempt
100% of 1 is 1 pt per attempt

The actual success rate for all teams is close to 47% so 1 pt makes more sense. But if a team was successful 60% of the time, they should statistically go for 2 every time.

If it is so good teams are trying to ban it, it seems like you’d want to use it as much as possible. Also, it seems like defenders hate it, so it’s another opportunity to wear them down.

That is not what makes it successful. It’s the 3 guys that come behind Hirts and pushes him over
