Drazen Petrovic only played 5 NBA seasons, his best year was 22/3/2, never made an All Star team.

In the Hall due to European accomplishment/influence and dying young

from what I know of Petrovic, he deserved to be in based on Euroball alone. Those czec and yugo teams were loaded and he was the best player.

Namath was a Rookie of the Year, 4 time All Star, 2 time league MVP, and the most iconic Super Bowl MVP of all time. His stats and accomplishments were exceptional for his era, the knock on him is a classic example of comparing incomparable eras

Contradictory, at #2 in NBA Finals scoring average...is Jerry West, who went 1-8 in the Finals while being selfish and taking over and dominating.

You can't beat these modern teams like the Spurs and Warriors with their passing and D rules with one guy trying to score every point.

I like to laugh at Lebron over his finals record, I really do. But I really really laugh when the leagues logo is 1-8 in the finals.

All I heard was I am a Bama fan. He was never even a top 5 QB in the league. His popularity allowed him to make pro bowls and the HOF

False. He was top 3 in yards and completion pct both his MVP seasons, and his team was the best in the league

In Joe Namaths 13 NFL seasons, he was never once even top 10 in passer rating. That is a joke

And only 4 pro bowls in 13 seasons isnt very good.....

Sometimes you just have to face the facts.... LeBron can takeover all he wants, they'll still win maybe 1 game.

I love MJ, but he's never faced a team this complete in a Finals.

4th in 1968. 3rd in 1969. MVP seasons. But pointless and retroactive because passer rating stat was not even invented until 1973 at the tail end of his career and took several more years to come into widespread use.

He threw a lot of yards and they won games on his gunslinging. He was still somewhat of a pioneer in the passing attack. You would've thought he was good at the time

No, it isnt. Look at the list. Tarkenton, Unitas, Starr, Stabler, Staubach consistently dominate Passer rating back then. Joe doesnt crack top 10 ever because he simply wasnt that good

That's a homer lie about Namath.

I've done all the research. He was middle of the pack against his peers in QB rating, Tds, efficiency, (although he did excel at interceptions.)

Namath is not some revisionist history. It's revisionist to say he was awesome...because, well Bama fan.

Excuse me. Combine the NFL and AFL and he is 12th. So not top 10

Why would you combine two different leagues with zero common opponents (except for one game- the Super Bowl, which he won)

There was a great analysis done by Pro Football Weekly or some sort...and it was a pure comparison not of today's numbers but solely against your peers...and how much better or worse a modern QB rating would be against your peers. And how we would rate them today if using modern analysis and numbers and stats...like everyone does.

Namath was near the bottom for the 60's and 70's.

Staubach was #1 for his era...by FAR!

Stabler was #2...by FAR!

Then...

Dawson, etc.

Unitas (even an old passed his prime mid-60's Unitas was better than young Namath)

Jurgenson,

Starr

Tarkenton

Lamonica

..........

Earl Morral...

Then...

Joe Namath.
