First off, I have no idea how any of this is going to work out. To be quite frank, I don't think anyone knows much. Honestly, I think there's a pretty good chance that this deal doesn't even happen on anti-trust grounds with US and European regulators involved.
I have been following this relatively closely from the beginning, and Shipnuck seems to be the only journalist who seems to have any information about what is going on. He seems to have at least somewhat of an understanding of each side's motivations. The NLU guys, Kyle Porter, golf.com and Golf Digest guys all seem pretty clueless and have danced on the graves of LIV so many times it's hard to take them seriously at all.
What I am guessing is the PIF wants to use the model that the PGL guys from England were interested in starting up from the beginning, and using LIV as something additive to the PGA tour. Instead of recruiting against, they could be recruiting from the tour and hosting those events during the fall and select weeks during the spring/summer in place of events like the Valspar/John Deere. I will reiterate though, I know nothing and doubt anyone outside of the guys from PIF really do.

1. It makes zero mention of Murray's reply. It only talks about what Rory said and how they were AFTER the meeting, so how is it relevant?
2. You think if in a closed door meeting some dude told Rory to frick off, that other dudes would come out of that meeting telling the media that golfer told Rory to frick off? Of course not, they're not going to let that out on record. I'm honestly surprised someone like you would struggle with a concept that simple
