There are currently 71 players at +2 or better. He has a chance, but it's very slim imo.

I hit my drive 260. From that spot In the fairway, the average amount of strokes to get in the hole is 4. So I didn’t gain or lose any strokes compared to the average.
You hit your drive 340. From that spot on the fairway, the average amount of strokes it takes to get in the hole is 3.
You just gained a stroke off the tee.
They calculate this for every hole in a round and add up how many strokes each player gained or lost compared to the field.

NVM, not in the water but still missed his 9 foot par putt after taking 400 practice strokes.

He might get lucky........ but if he is having back issues he won’t be a factor this weekend. Which is a shame..... people want to see the best that every player can deliver with not much other sports going on......

A reporter asked him that after the round. He said if he makes the cut he will have to see how he feels tomorrow AM. He said every day is different.
