The rundown last night on Comedy Central was not as good as it normally is. It almost felt a little too put together on Comedy Central. Dave was almost too good i think, the fact that he's basically a walking Jimbo waiting to happen and he can't pronounce anything right is a big part of what makes the rundown funny to me.
It will be on all week so I'm thinking it will keep getting better.
It was actually better than I thought it'd be. If they do it like they normally do I feel like they'd bomb on TV. The normal Rundown is great when you get a feel for it but the unprofessionalness wouldn't play well for their first time on TV IMO

Portnoy isn't near as funny as PFT Commenter.
I agree but Portnoy grew on me. He got a lot funnier once I got used to the cocky character he plays. The constant Goodell/Brady takes get old though.

Yeah, he's still good. It's just hard living up to the legend

Portnoy isn't all that funny. PFT might be a genius or autistic or both.

It makes me wonder what kind of job he had before blogging

I just started listening to KFC radio. It's not a bad time waster

something that was a waste of his genius

Who knows, I'm pretty sure KFC had a masters in accounting and was working for Deloitte before he quit for Barstool.
Though I guess some people might still consider that a waste.

PFT is pretty great, I do think he and big cat need to work on making their show just a tad bit more serious. I think the jokes would land better if it wasn't so constant throughout. The Michael Smith/Jamelle Hill interview was one of their best ones and it was bc they were somewhat professional in it but also brought the normal ridiculousness.
Dave is great in small doses. He is at his best doing one off bits, doesn't need his own show. KFC has gone down hill recently. If anything I'd like to see Dave off the Rundown and KFC manage it full time daily. His show with Asa lacks.

The fact that Big Cat and PFT don't try to be serious is why the show is great

The 2 part episode with Van Pelt was awesome. He fit in perfectly with that crew.

I've actually never ever watched the Rundown, just listen to PMT since day one.
I thought it kind of sucked.
Part of what makes the rundown so entertaining is they seem hungover or tired or mad and they frick with each other and get names of shite wrong and frick around and as a fan of barstool for a fairly long time, it just works.
Last night seemed way too buttoned up and forced. Almost like while they were talking they were thinking, "I wonder if this is funny." Also didn't like the live audience. Seemed like they played to an audience when normally they don't give one frick about the people listening to them. Like it, or gtfo sorta thing.
Obviously it'll be a work in progress, but I had doubts about the show and so far they have been confirmed.

I agree but Portnoy grew on me.
He's also really funny interviewing people during the elections.

They need to work on better audio. The live audience is a nice touch but not when you can't hear what they are saying over the crowd
