Nuss goes later without the pressure of saving a franchise.

Nuss is struggling against D1 competition, no one needs to be worrying about him saving or not saving an NFL franchise.

Nuss hasn't fixed basic footwork issues after 4.5 years in college.

He needs to go to one of those teams who can break down all the deficiencies he's been allowed to develop while at LSU over a few years and rebuild him.

This would have been hilarious after week 1. He’s been pretty good since however.

He wasn't necessarily bad week 1 individually if you watched it, but yeah that is quite the glow up

Hopefully the idea of going to the Jets scares the shite out of Simpson and he dials it back against LSU. Poor bastard

I think he’s definitely a future first rounder. If he continues to play at the level he is currently it’s not unreasonable for him to rise to #1.

He absolutely should come back for another year and I suspect he will. Klubnik, Nussmeier, and Sellers all would still go ahead of him at this point in 2026. Who knows who else but his ceiling is 4th this year at best.

2027 is wide open right now.

People are so incredibly reactionary these days. Let's let the kid finish a full season before talking about #1 overall in the 2026 draft. He has definitely looked as impressive as anyone so far, and I feel like he's the real deal, but there is half the season left.

Exactly. Kid only has like 3-400 snaps on film right now, who knows how he’ll respond to what teams throw at him next. FWIW, I’ve enjoyed watching Simpson and I believe he will eventually prove to be an NFL QB but calling him a top draft pick after 6 starts is retarded even by PFF’s usually retarded standards.

#1 for Ty might be a stretch but I won’t be a bit surprised to see him first half of the first round.

All he has to do is keep showing his potential. He won’t last very long in round 1. Teams gamble on QBs all the time.

It’s not just about production, but a lot about potential.

He’s the best pure thrower I’ve seen this year. Dare I say some are JB like.
