This.

Injuring Westbrook on a tough play? I can see that as legitimate and an accident.

Doing a feint of the same kind of play to Westbrook this season to play mind games with him? frick him right up the arse.

It was a bitch move by Beverley to begin with. Karmas a bitch.

Well you're dumb. Westbrook is on video doing the EXACT same thing. Karma was when his knee got fricked up while Beverley used Westbrook's move.

Ok...So we went from having the worst PG in the western conference playoffs, to still having the worst PG in the western conference playoffs.

Crushing blow!!

Only every game.

By the 2nd round off the playoffs, his "bulldog mentality' won't mean shite.

He's not slowing down Chris Paul, Tony Parker, or Russel Westbrook by being a full court pest. Never has...never will. He's nullified by that point, other than his contagious effort that affects his teammates (which is very important).

I realize I'm probably in the minority with that opinion, but the 9 games against those teams, so far, seems to bear that out.

What has he done against those 3?

I'd say he slowed down Westbrook for about a year or so...

If you've ever looked at the numbers, it's obvious that Beverley is a huge improvement over Lin. The team plays much better with Beverley than Lin.

More important than Harden, Howard, Parsons? NOPE!

You could argue Jones.

Do we extrapolate regular season success to playoff success?

Beverly was outplayed by Westbrooks backup in the playoffs last year. Was he not?

Just to clarify...

I'm of the opinion that this injury hurts, but is not the crushing blow to our title chances that it would be if it were any of the other 4 starters.

This fricking city is acting like Harden just went down, and we have no shot now. I don't buy it.

Regular season success generally translates into playoff success.

And apparently you don't understand that Reggie Jackson isn't playing iso ball against Patrick Beverley. It's a team game, and the Rockets had some major holes on defense last year.

You can't just look at a box score and say so and so got out-played.

It is lazy and ignorant.

Well the positive would be that Lin has been playing really well lately, but we traded Brooks and don't have much depth at PG behind Lin. Canaan is talented but experience counts in the playoffs. I thill think we will be OK but it's a big blow.

Most logical fans are not saying that.

But now the starting guard is Lin, who has not been playing very well on top of not having as much success as Beverley in the first place. Then the back-up PG becomes Isaiah Canaan... a rookie who has been playing in the d-league.

That hurts.

Edit: I should say Lin has been playing pretty well as of very late. But fairly recently he was slumping bad. So who knows which Lin will show up in the playoffs.

One of our most important not the most important. No one is trying to claim he is an elite defender and will shut down Chris Paul, Tony Parker, etc. But he gives us a much better chance to win. Lin is a turnover machine who doesn't defend. Not to mention that the only other PG on roster is Isaiah Canaan.
