But host + 3 callers basically said this ends any shot the rockets had if beverly doesn't return.
I just think that is ridiculous. Are we better with him? Of course. He compliments the starting lineup much better than Lin does. But Lin is FAR more offensively talented player than Beverly is. His contribution was always gong to be neccessary to advance, and even more so now.
Their strategy will just have to be to funnel the perimeter guys inside to Dwight and Omer to protect the rim. Don't allow the 3 to be open. Make them always drive the lane.
It also wouldn't hurt if Harden picked up a little of the defensive slack either. he's been much better the past month, but he'll have to pick it up more.

You're right. I was just bullshitting. He's an AMAZING player. Almost to Dwight's level (:wink:). And will do plenty of winning. But there has to be some response to random Pelitard trolling every rockets thread that appears. I'll just leave that to Boom and C on Z from now on. They are both really good at getting y'all riled up.
ETA: TIL, a group of Pelicans is really called a squadron. That's cool. Y'all should use that more.

The disparity between Lins (straight ahead) first step on ofense, and his (horizontal) first step on defense is as bad as I've ever seen.
He's sooo fast on the drive, but can not move his feet side to side to save his life.

I don't know. The game thread for the Pels V Clips had alot of Pellies going at ConZ pretty hard. So much so that they started a thread dedicated to him after the win. He must have been doing something right.
