Why do people hate Pat Murphy or call him a douchebag?
Don't just come in here and call him a jackass, I want to hear why. I"m not defending the guy, I'm just really curious to hear why he's disliked.

The stunt with the "fight" last year in super regionals against Fresno makes him seem like a jackass.

The fight was lame. Was it shown that Murphy was in on it or gave them the idea? However, he probably did b/c it happened in 2005 too on his team.
If situation 1 is true, then WOW. That shite is funny. But it doesn't sound to me like he was "full" of it since they broke up b/c she was a drug addict. Sounds like typical bf/gf crap with them breaking up. Still kinda douchey in a way.

he personally told me that I wouldn't be good enough to start in JC much less at his school...there are quite a few guys he's told something similar to. It's funny now when we laugh about it on a major league field.

I played ball with a guy that transferred from Arizona St. He swears that Coach Murphy was hitting on his mom. He said that after a good pitching performance Coach Murphy said in the post-game interview that the player's mom and I had been talking about his improvement this week and he went out and pitched well. What coach mentions a player's mom in a post game interview?

I've heard nothing but douchy things about him over the years. I remember him going out on the field like 5 times to pretend like he was arguing calls when LSU was playing them on a sunday because LSU was rallying and he was trying to get the Sunday evening time limit to kick in.
Doesn't he or didn't he also keep a punching bag in the dugout cause he's so grrrrrr tough and grrrrrr mad and grrrrr he'll scare people grrrrr?

how long do you think it took to make that post? 15-25 seconds? When you're in the big show, I imagine you can spare that amount of time to laugh at Pat Murphy.
