Rulebook says with ordinary effort. There is no ordinary effort running 50 yards

Bring it bitch.

I'll make sure Catfish goes out partying with Miggy Cabrera the night before the game. I hear Miguel collects DUI's like Barry the Red's fan collects gay porn VHS tapes.

You mean for the regular season only, right? Lifelong Braves fan here...Fredi G is a Bobby Cox clone except for the wife beating thing...The Braves suck & choke in postseason. I don't see that changing.

He was not close to under the ball when infield fly was called. He was moving away from it and Holliday wasn't going to catch it

Lot of shite talking for a team that hasn't won a playoff series since, what, 2001?

Kozma The ss made a play on the ball therefore it was still grounds for infield fly rule. The only thing that was wrong was the call was made late. Rulebook says the call was correct though

Braves are looking awesome so far, but it is really early (nine games in out of 162).

To put it in NFL terms, they are not even 1/16th of the way into the season, so they are in the fourth quarter of the first game of the season.

I'll be at Nats-Braves game this Saturday in DC!

Well screw it. I've seen Simmons run to shallow right field and steal pop fly balls from Uggla. By your rationale, every ball hit vs. the Braves is now an infield fly

But seriously, infield flies don't happen 200 ft out. It was a shite call. Especially when you consider both the SS and OF went for the ball, and neither made a play. Ump bailed them out.

I'm not saying it would have won the game. Next hitter may have been a double play. Just shitty to make that call in any game, let alone a playoff game. And how the hell is a LF ump making an IF fly call anyway?

Same, if I wasn't in the club level that night I would have heaved thrown everything around me. I was very close to throwing stuff anyway even with no chance of getting it close to the field.
