Arizona beat a team they were favored to beat. Let's wait until the Pac-10 beats someone they are not favored against before we say they are underrated. Or at least someone besides USC pistol whips someone.

yeah, i forgot about that stellar performance against Tech a couple weeks ago.

Oregons backs are bigger, faster, and more physical than GTs.

Georgia got owned at home by an ACC team. That ACC team happens to be their traditional whipping boy and in-state rival.

There is no excuse if you're a Dawg fan. My friends in Athens are hating that loss worse than my Bammer buds are hating Louisiana Monroe from last season.

usc6158,

Are you upset that Oregon won? I know your pandering arse must be sore about now.

USC opponents are 4-0 in bowl games. Is it still as black and white as you say that SC doesn't belong with Florida and OU?

Did I ever say Oregon wasn't good or at least had an explosive offense? No

and yes, USC, based on the current system, still doesn't have the resume OU or UF have.

The SC defense is showing that those numbers weren't a fluke though based on the Pac-10's performance

Please elaborate on Florida's resume.

I'm not saying this is a great win for the Pac 10, but if you believe the hyperbole spread by the media, the Pac 10's #2 should have no business being competitive against the Big 12's #4.

My point is that the premise by which the two BCSNC teams were picked is massively flawed and not nearly as black and white as many wish to suggest.

SOS based on Sagarin:
USC: 38
Florida: 19

best win: Florida
loss: pretty equal

If it's based purely on the best resumes UT-OU would be the matchup, but since they won't put in two teams from the same conference, UF is the obvious choice

This is incorrect. UGA played Auburn on November 15th then didn't play Georgia Tech until November 29th, so they actually had more time to prepare for the option than anyone this season before LSU.

Also, I don't think Oregon has anyone more physical than Dwyer, the ACC's leading rusher and ACC player of the year who went over 100 yards rushing 9 times this season, averaged 7.0 ypc and over 110 yards per game

I actually agree with Ghazi, the Pac 10's bottom teams make it bad, but their top half is actually a bit underrated. Especially on this board where everybody thinks every conference that's not the SEC is the____1 or Slow 2 or whatnot.

You're money as usual, HC. Perception is everything, despite what Andre Agassi says.

The PAC 10's perception was damaged by an awful start against their MWC hosts, ucla being ucla (0-59 vs BYU) Cal's time zone sleeper in Maryland and the Boise State shocker in Autzen.

Add UW's suicidal schedule and the fact that they and WSU are the worst BCS teams in the country, and you have your "PAC 10 is down" theory.

The PAC 10 is 3-0 against decent competition in bowl season, and might even win out.

Our top five is as good as anybody's.

Unfortunately for Oregon State, with JaQuizz Rogers and his brother both injured, they won't have the offensive explosiveness they exhibited against USC, but I'd give them a puncher's chance against Pitt.

Also, I think we have a decent chance to beat Penn State in the Rose Bowl, but losing Stanley Havili is a huge kick in the bollocks.
