Obviously the comparison carried no weight last season since Smith actually helped his team win games by moving chains when it needed and taking care of the ball.

Finished 18th in TDs despite being 20th in attempts

Except he doesn't, he was mediocre until last season when he advanced to good. The blind hate you have is disturbing, do you have a personal vendetta?

3k yards is still considered good (4k and higher is exceptional now unless 4 becomes avg)

Rex Grossman (13 games), Mark Sanchez, Josh Freemnan, Tavarius Jackson, and Andy Dalton all threw for over 3000 yards last year (20 QB's did all-together)

Oh it carries plenty of weight. two shitty qbs with great defenses. Boy smith was tearing it up with being 18th in tds. You ever think that if his coach had confidence in him he would be higher than 20th in attempts?

not anymore...20 QBs threw for over 3K last season. Several more would have if not for injury.

Yeah I'd say 4000 yards is what 3000 yards used to be.

So would you like the cut off 3200 yards or more? What would make you happy? Of course all those QB's had more attempted passes than the one listed as well.

I would say 4,000 makes someone a good QB.
You are confusing below average/average with good. When over half the league throws for 3,000 yards, it isn't an achievement

because his own team was scared to death of him

But mediocre doesn't mean good which is what I said he became.... You do realize that? Also his career before wasn't as bad as the "bust" label he was attached with.

I realize you said he was good this year. You also said he was mediocre until last year. He wasn't mediocre until last year. He became mediocre last year.

that's usually how it works, unless you think Josh Freeman and Rex Grossman are good Qb's

Yes. 10 seems like a good number of good qbs.

Or because it is the system he is designed in, they had enough faith in him to let him have the ball to come from behind so obviously the team wasn't "scared" of him.... This perception is mind boggling, I shall chalk it up to the hate

11th in completion percentage, 19th in yards, 17th in yards per attempt, 17th in TDs.

9th in QB rating, 27th in yards per game, 37th in interceptions (in a good way).
