I think Stanford is a damn good team, but no, you don't deserve to jump undefeated teams when you lost to an unranked team that will end up with at least 4 losses on the season.

Well that doesn't have anything to do with not appreciating Stanford as it does realizing how "the system" works.
Unbeaten in a BCS conference counts for a lot with the coaches and Harris poll voters.
