Olympic Thread, 08-24-08 Sunday Last Day***NO SPOILERS***

This thread will be the thread where "typical" discussions are held about the Olympics, as they occur on TV. This will include your normal overnight discussions of events as they're happening on TV, the deport list (if we're still doing that), taped prime time events as they occur on TV (such as the gymnastics and track), etc. This will be like the threads that we had had all last week. The other thread should consist of no discussion of events as they occur on TV, only results of events that are not aired live that people want to talk about. When those events are later shown on TV (especially prime time events) the discussion should be here.
Basically, the reason for this is because the past two nights, the two threads have sort of been "divided" and discussions of the prime time events have been discussed in two separate threads, which takes away from the discussion. Now, this thread should be bigger again, like it was before.
Like always, big events may have their own thread.
Also like always, you may link to the medal count in a post, but please don't actually type what the count is in a post.

And of course, Go

Scheduled events for today:
Currently, live, on USA, the men's baseball gold medal game (Korea vs. US).
On CNBC, tonight at 11 pm central, the men's basketball bronze game (Lithuania vs. Argentina).
On NBC, starting at 9 am central, the women's basketball game will be shown live (US vs. Australia). After, synchronized swimming, canoeing, rhthymic gymnastics, and boxing. The women's gold medal volleyball match (US vs. Brazil) will be shown taped at 3 central.
Prime time, men's marathon live at 6:30 pm central, also, the men's 800, 5,000, javelin, 1,600 relay, and women's 1,500, 1,600 relay, and high jump. Also, men's diving platform finals.
LIVE on NBC at 1:30 am central, the men's gold medal basketball game, US vs. Spain.
NOTE: I'm listing these off of the schedule in the local paper. Other than primetime, IT'S POSSIBLE THAT THESE EVENTS COULD BE AN HOUR OFF IN THE CENTRAL TIME ZONE. SO WHAT I SAY IS 4 IN CENTRAL TIME ZONE COULD BE 5.

I seriously think if I wanted to (and I was a chick), I could practice this for a week and compete on an Olympic level (half joking, half serious).
