and could end up with the 6th pick. Is the finish worth it?

In baseball? Who cares? If it was the NBA, then no.

MLB draft is a little different than it used to be.Nationals are full of top picks that turned em around.

I say yes. Develop some confidence going into the offseason and next season. Also makes the team more intriguing to free agents who may think they can be a difference maker for a young team with some promise.

The difference between the 2nd and 6th pick is negligible. Sometimes the best player doesn't go first because of contract expectations. There are not really clearcut top picks for the 2017 draft at this stage too.

The braves have a good young group. 3 years away.

This. Some years a draft has a very clear-cut #1 like a Strasburg or Harper. Like Groome this year seemed like a consensus top-5 pick, fell to 12. And right now I only see where Atlanta would be picking at 3 if season ended today.

I don't know the specifics, but I know the number 1 pick is way better than the number 2 pick due to money reasons and being able to sign your later picks.

Don't know how much that trickles down past 1

Ya think?Season isn't ending today Einstien and now the Braves are 2 games back with 5 to play.

We'll see what happens but I'd hate to see us endure this shite season to lose out on a potential
big time contributor just because we got hot in September.
