There is no question they can sign one. The question is who. Dwight is a long shot, but I really don't think he wants to play for the Lakers. If they were to land him, they would be contenders. If not him, I think Milsap would be a great fit at the 4 and would put them up there with the Clippers and Nuggets, right below the Spurs and Thunder.

quote:Currently they are a couple million shy of a max contract, but they can make some trades to dump a bit of salary. Their #1 target is Dwight, and there's some indications he may be receptive. Their #2 target I believe is Josh Smith.
What's their money situation like in the offseason and who would even be available?

Is rather overpay for smith than sign milsap. I think jones can develop into a milsap in a few years.

Crowd is way more into this game than they were in the first.

Big shot by Delfino.
Russ missed a wide open Durant when he took the shot that got blocked.

I mean if they have the salary fine, but I wouldn't break up the current, extremely young, core. Other teams will fall apart and Houston can slowly move up the ranks.
I like the team but they just don't have it yet

I prefer Smith too.

Fits the up tempo style more and is a premier defender. Add Smith and a dalembeert to back up asik and I think they could be a top 4 seed.

Parsons and Harden aren't going anywhere. Everyone else is expendable. One of Thomas Robinson, Monty, or Jones will be gone. Hopefully not Jones.
