17k seems on the smaller side for pro sports arena.

But maybe not, figured more NHL and NBA arenas would be in 18-20 k range

Great looking arena. Pathetic skyline though.

From OKC and I sadly agree. Being the smallest market in sports, I never take for granted having a major sports franchise. Downtown has become a lot nicer. Bricktown is a bit outdated. Wish there was a bit more to the skyline

I hope they don’t price out the average fan. I think they’re planning to add more luxury suites. It will be nice for the lower bowl to be closer to the court

I’m guessing that proposed tallest skyscraper in the U.S. isn’t going to be approved?

I was actually looking into that the other day I think it’s already been approved. It was supposed to have started construction 1st quarter of this year and that’s yet to happen it seems, though.

Guys behind it are probably trying to figure out how little work they need to do to take the governments money and run

The regulatory hurdles were cleared. Still not sure if it’s ever getting built.

But hey, frick us for dreaming, right? How dare lowly Oklahoma want to do cool things.

Remember when they’d be constantly talking shite about NOLA attendance because we had a 17k arena? Asking why we weren’t selling out after the Hornets franchise left OKC the first time?
