Sucks, but if he did this, I won't mind one bit if he's kicked off the team. If you're dumb enough to punch a bitch in the face a month before the season starts, I'm ok with you not being on the team.

I've always thought Rod Smith is the best ball carrier on the roster (if he can hang on to the ball). This wouldn't help, but I think Smith would shine this year.

I'm not saying anything until this is all verified...I saw this well before this story came up here (was really just wondering when it would).
The 1 thing I don't understand is why would he use his elbow if he's 6' 240 lbs? It really does sound accidental. The problem now is the perception of Meyer; if it really is nothing, and he doesn't suspend him, it's Meyer does everything to win. If he gets rid of him, it's Meyer coaches thugs!

He's a junior this year. I don't think the hump is an issue. He just needs to show that he can hold on to the ball. There hasn't been any issue with his productivity when he's played but there has been some fumbleitis.
Dunn is a stud. He's may be ready to step in anyway if Hyde is gone.
Finally, if the rumor is true then Hyde should be gone.

Storm Klein was allowed back on the team after beating the mother of his child. I doubt Carlos will be gone for the entire season. And he's twice the player Klein was. Maybe a 4 game suspension in the end.

I think Meyer has to do more now. Although he can say the punishment should fit the crime, he has to do more than others now, or else it will be a week long OSU bashing all over the world. That impacts recruiting and gets into the heads of a team even if they say they have "tunnel vision."
I think R. Smith can be the man, but I would rather have Hyde to 'spell' him haha

The charges were dropped in the Klein case and he didn't beat his girlfriend. As I recall they had a fight and he held her by her shoulders and pushed her up against a door to restrain her. Again, the charges were dropped.
If Hyde punched a cops daughter in the face he is gone. It's already being reported by THE insider on the Scout site that a player is going to be kicked off of the ream.

Lot of hatred for Storm in you, eh? The fact that he didn't live up to it on the field doesn't mean he's a piece of shite because he had an argument with his girlfriend. Like I said, when the story came out later it wasn't nearly as bad as it sounded when it was first reported. Perhaps that is the case here as well.

bottom line is you gotta kick this dude off the team, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the arrest... Meyer/OSU don't want the entire Columbus PD pissed off at them and starting a war with the football team. Think UGA/Richt x 10.
