Penn state has a worse offense than us and we get them at home. Don't see how we lose that one

We have had similar offensive struggles and I think our defense is way better than theirs. And it's at home. If we lose that I may shoot myself.

We aren't going 6-6 brah. Doubtfully, 7-5. Possibly 8-4. Most likely 9-3. Doubtfully 10-2. We aren't going 11-1

I am trying reverse psychology, maybe it might work.

Rotating sucks in that neither QB gets into a rhythm. But you need to do that until a guy steps up. I use LSU as an example.

Ohio State can win games with their running ham (which will only get better as the season goes on). But you gotta be throwing and completing the WR's are wide open, or they are going to put 12 me in the box. That or replace your WR's with another TE and TB and say frick it. FWIW, Hall played some goal line Wildcat last year Alan looked comfortable.

After the first 3 games, I just don't see the intensity we are used to seeing from the Defense and he need for urgency on the offense.

The first game the defense pitched a shut out and held Akron to 90 total yards. How much more intensity do you need?
The second game Toledo screened us to death. Their second half scoring drive was when Simon wasn't in the game and 7 of their points came from a blocked punt when they set up on the 1.
In Miami the offense never gave us a chance to win and I thought the defense played good enough to get a W if the offense could put some fricking points on the board.

The secondary is good, the line is really good, our linebackers have been lackluster so far though outside of Sweat. I'd like to see more Shazier - dude is going to be a beast. We need some speed on our linebackers and we don't have much right now.

That would be pretty funny

But in all honesty, with our QBs we need to run to set up the pass, not the other way around, which is what I think we've been trying to do.

Sprint,

I admire your passion for the Bucks. Lord knows, I am passionate too. But if you think we are good this year, you are seeing a much different team than I am.

Are we bad...no! But we are not great either. I said the 6-6 as a worst case scenario. I really feel we will finish at 8-4 I see us struggling with those teams I listed on a previous post. If we beat Penn State, it will be a low scoring game. If we beat Michigan, we better be able to stop them and score on their weak Defense. Univ. of Miami, Fl, was not very good and we only scored 6 points.

That is all I am saying. I will always support the Buckeyes, but I keep things in perspective.

Sadly, I think our streak agaisnt Michigan comes to an end. And if there were any doubts to Fickel coming back, I think this game seals the deal.

So the guy gets one year and gets canned? Why take the interim tag off in the first place if they weren't going to give him a legit shot at running this program?

I'm not saying it is fair, because it isn't. He is in a bad spot right now. He's got Urban looking over his one shoulder and a fans/university with a "undefeated or bust" mentality looking over his other shoulder.

I think they took the interim tag off because it brings confidence in thinking that you are not necessarily going to be replaced at the end of the year.

It would be one thing if he loses the game we are expected to lose, but if he loses the game we are expected to win (Miami and especially Michigan) then the University will move on.

I agree that Luke has been brought into a bad situation, but that is the way it is at a big time place.

Luke will be a successful head coach, it just wont be at Ohio State.

It's a top 10 if not a top 5 job in college football.

The way he has managed games, the quarterback situation and press conferences lately is leaving a lot to be desired. He may end up being a great coach but it seems obvious that he's not ready for the big time just yet. I'm willing to see how he grows as the season progresses.

He got a shite deal, but you don't hand the keys to a top program to a linebackers coach. Hopefully he can pull it together and get a HC job at a smaller school next season.

I can't understand the Fick hate after 1 loss. You don't like his press conferences???? wtf guys

If they tell Miller to snap the ball, make 1 read, and run if it isn't open and actually hold onto the ball, I'm for it. Oh, and hand of 40 times a game to Herron, Hall, Berry, and Hyde

This is all Bauserman has been doing minus the running part. He just throws it into the sideline instead.

And that's all TP basically did his freshmen year. Braxton is also far ahead TP in his throwing mechanics during their freshmen seasons.

There's no upside with Bauserman. He sucks. I knew he'd shite his pants when he faced just a little bit of adversity. Braxton is the way better option at this point. For his sake and the sake of Ohio State football.

I agree. I like Fickell. He needs somebody not named Jim Bollman running his offense.
