How can you say not in same ball park?

Because Nascar is not a sport.
Otherwise you could put Phil Ivey in the same conversation.

after this year he will have 10 POY awards in 12 years. 1998 and 2004 were his swing change years.

If Tiger doesn't win the PGA he doesn't deserve to win the POY award. I don't see how you could disagree with me here.

One of the four major winners for starters. Tiger didn't even make the cut at the British.
I can't believe you are arguing this.

he could miss the cut at the pga and would still win it. unless someone gets 2 majors, he is a lock. 5 wins is better than 1 major in a year.

You're kidding right??
So going 0-4 in majors and missing 2 of the 4 cuts warrants a POY award?
1 major victory>>>>>>>>>5 non-major victories

Tiger could miss the cut in all 4 majors and you'd still think he deserves the POY award.

you don't have a clue. ask anyone who knows golf who the POY is and they will say tiger. over a career, 1 major is better than 5 wins but when you are talking about 1 season, 5 wins is a hell of a lot more impressive than 1 major.

Even if you miss the cut in 2 of the 4 majors? Speaking of not having a clue.

in the last 30 years, only three other players have had 5 or more wins in a season - tom watson, nick price and vijay.

you got it. T6 in the 2 other majors with 5 wins, hands down POY.

You act like T6 is some kind of an achievement. Not so much for a POY winner.

another tiger stat - he has had the "most wins in a season" 11 years now. the next most times by a single player is 6 (nicklaus). and he is only 33.

fyi, nicklaus has 5 PGA championships.

And he probably hasnt played a "full" schedule in about 10 years. If he played as much as a guy like Vijay, he'd probably already have the all time wins record

Once again...in golf, ONLY majors matter.
He could win every non-major event, but if he goes winless in the majors, Tiger himself will say he had a disappointing year.
