I had no idea...
I'm just saying he's been playing well and shitting the bed on the weekends. And like I said, I'm glad he finally got over the hump.

No doubt his weekend game has been less than his starting rounds. Maybe this win will help him with his nerves.
I know he has been working with a coach more the past few years which is probably the reason his game has gotten more consistent. I heard he had never worked with anyone before that.
Either way, glad he got over the hump and hope he continues to play well.

Yep, momma made him do it, but I don't follow golf because I don't care for 10 waggle Duffner.

Tremendous win for Dufner and the game. I predict he will now win several more over the next few years. He has several recent top 10's and is regularly in one of the final Sunday pairings. Great showing in the Masters and last 2 PGA's too. How can anyone question his world ranking...he is usually in the mix into Saturday or Sunday. This win will probably boost him up to 26-27 in the world. He is a legit contender for the Fed Ex cup, with perhaps another win this season.

Waggle helps in relaxing the hand and arms. I like his waggle and the quick swing after the last waggle...he stays loose. His par save after the penalty stroke was brilliant. He has 3 2nd place finishes on tour too.

Maybe he should try fapping to relax his arms

I thought your comment about Dufner being like Jason Bohn was with regards to his status as a golfer, not his personality. Sorry for misunderstanding your post.
I agree that his personality is pretty damn dry, but his golf ability, especially over the past year, is definitely world class. He lost a playoff in the PGA and was in contention at Augusta. Throw in the fact that he's had the lead in several tour events on the weekend, and that is some seriously good golf.
BTW, the fact that you work the Zurich classic in no way qualifies you as someone who understands golf. I've seen some real fricking idiots out there who are supposed to know what's going on. Not that you were one of them.

Congrats to Dufner......

My comments were not anything personal about Duffner. I think he has lots of talent and when I saw that he committed to play here I thought that he was a good addition.
My frustration is with the Zurich being a place for 1st time winners. I have had my fill of seeing this at my home tournament. I feel that if a big name wins it will increase the chances they return for future tournaments.
I have seen the likes of Chris Couch, Jason Bohn, and Andres Romero come here and win and then disappear from the map. I want the best for the Zurich and frankly the fields have been kinda shitty. This year was an exception to that. I know the players don't like this course and I personally wouldn't mind if they moved it back to English Turn.
I know where you are coming from with some of the volunteers that don't know jack about golf working there. I have seen my share of retards working ShotLink. I've witness marshall moving/talking while players were putting or hitting. It's quite embarrassing to see things like that because it makes us all look bad to the tour.

Just watching the replay. I'm glad Dufner didn't choke, but he was about 2 inches away on 3 different putts from losing in regulation. His putts on 15 and 17 almost missed, an Ernie was a half roll away from sinking his on 18. Talk about a game of inches.

On Saturday on #12 the marshals working the crosswalk were allowing patrons to cross while the Golfers were teeing off.
One of the walking scorers with a group couldn't explain why a guy got a free drop.

I crossed on the path at no. 12 as well. However, I had the good sense to make sure that all 3 players had teed off first. Gives self golfclap

It may sound silly to some, but, IMO, these issues are very much related. Bad golf courses end up with marginal winners. I don't think it's much of a coincidence that in the first 5 years that the tourney was at the TPC, only Watney has gone on to make a name for himself. There are too many instances at this course where a slightly off line shot can lead to a huge penalty. This ends up leaving a little too many things to chance when $1.2 million is on the line. Even though it's probably too short for today's players, English Turn would be a much better venue for this event, IMO, for both the players and the fans.

I would love to see it go back to ET

I stand by my assertion that the TPC of La is the worst TPC constructed and the one of the 5 worst tour stops in terms of course quality.
Typical Dye and a terrible location.

I've read on here that the tpc keeps tweaking the course to the players liking. -19 is a good score for a winner.

I don't see anything wrong with that. That path is out of range of the tee box, especially with the wind that was blowing out there this week.
My issues with the marshalls is that many think they're there to exert authority. I've seen guys so worried about getting people who are 50 yards way from anyone playing to "stand, please" that they're more distracting than helpful. I've also witnessed three balls being stepped on in the last 2 years because marshalls didn't go out into the crowd when a player hit his ball out there. In one instance, the Marshall himself stepped on it while he was helping his Marshall friend get the shot link data.
