Public perception is that it's a high scoring game, but I think public perception is correct here. Michigan State's defense got torched all 3 times they faced a great spread attack last year, and they lost Narduzzi. We all know how Oregon's style of play caters to high scoring games.

That Florida Atlantic loss was painful
I had FAU +18 and ML +700 and when they tied the game in the 3rd quarter my model gave them a 96% chance of covering and 42% outright win.
And they do neither being outscored 24-0 the rest of the way. When their option pitch was dropped into the end zone and Miami jumped on it I knew I was fricked

Truth, but when MSU needs to dial it down and get some stops I think they can, I'm leaning towards taking MSU, something tells me the team that wins this game wins by 10+.
But who the hell knows

I have no play on the game but I think Oregon is one of the very few teams in the country who can beat an FCS team 61-42 and get universal praise as looking "impressive".
Any other team would be slammed for giving up 42 to an FCS team
Lends credence to my theory that in the eyes of the media, winning 61-42 is more impressive than winning 38-0.

I don't disagree. At some point in time Oregon's house of cards is going to collapse, I just don't know that it's this week.

I haven't seen or heard anyone say saying Oregon was impressive. There's a reason almost everyone is picking MSU to win, even though they're only 4 point favorites
