I put a half unit on it. Although, I think what I'm calling a unit is too small a percentage of my bankroll to be called a unit. What usually constitutes a unit?

everyone has different units haha. Its just your normal bet. Mine is $50, others $100, some may be $10

and i was joking about losing your money, i liked tcu at 14... and have a unit on them. But had i not bet and waited i would be on minn at 17 now.

I know that but many people will keep each bet the same, and each of those a certain percentage of their bankroll. At least I think that's what they do. I'll go look it up.

Sports insights says good money management would call for 1-3% of ones bankroll to be bet on each game. So I have 1 unit on Minn +14.5, and .5 units on them +17.

Lol, there's a slim chance TCU wins by 15 or 16 so why would your play change from 14 to 17 ? I always take my chances in those situations

because the difference in 14 and 14.5 are pretty big... much less the difference in 14 and 17, that is dramatic when betting against the spread.

Two TCU defensive starters are out for tomorrow's game. Gary Patterson would not say which two or why.

Davion Pierson and Mike Tuaua, I think

I wouldn't be too worried. Although Pierson is probably TCU's top DL, Tuaua isn't always starter, and the DL is the deepest part of TCU's defense. They have talent all throughout the 2 deep, returning 7 of 8 from last year.

Pierson's backup is Aaron Curry who used to start at Nebraska, so I wouldn't be too worried.

I think a lot of people envy you, including myself, for getting TCU at the -14 number

Now with it at 15.5 in some places looks like you got some value on that one!

I have Florida International +17

Line is down to FIU +14, I have seen it dip to FIU +13.5 in some places

What do you all think about a middle? FIU +17 and UCF -13.5? Or should I just let my FIU +17 bet ride?

Yea idk what I was thinking. I was confused for a sec. It made more since in my head earlier. I think I meant 14 1/2 and 17 aren't very much diff in football betting.

The movement begins... Like I told y'all, get your public plays in and sleep on the contrarian picks! Wouldn't be surprised if the Buckeye line jumps at some point as well. Throw Mich St in there too... This post was edited on 9/2 at 10:57 am

It would be great if you can get TCU at -14 and Minnesota at +17.5.

Worst case lost juice. Best case is a middle and you win 2x.

The same for Michigan St -19 and WMU +21.5.

Did you like my three bets?

#1:
Three-team, ten-point teaser
Texas State at Florida State (-20)
Alabama (-0.5) v. Wisconsin (Dallas)
Auburn (-1) v. Louisville (Atlanta)
$25.00 to win something like $20.83

#2:
Mississippi State (-21.5) at Southern Miss
(free $25.00 from sportsbook)

#3:
Duke (-6.5) at Tulane
$10.00 to win $6.67 as I had to buy a point.

5% max of your bankroll on games.

..and I prefer betting the same units on each game.

Sucks when you lose a 5U play and you need to win 6 1U plays to be positive.

im not a teaser player, but that one looks like money.

msu is down to 21 in my book, im sure you would have rather that but i think they cover either way (im from hattiesburg area) and usm will get blown out.

and the duke game should be money at 6.5, its done rose to 7.5 i believe.
