This may shock you, but I can watch golf even when Tiger isn't playing. Tiger doesn't bring in more golf fans, Tiger brings in Tiger fans. Obviously, there are a lot of them, but this is the US Open, and there are plenty of people watching to see the leaders, ALL OF THEM.
I don't why this would shock me. But there is a major difference between a Tiger event and a non-Tiger event, both at the course and on TV. And coverage will be catered to that.
You're going to show the guy people tuned in to see. And regardless of what you say, everyone wants to see Tiger. Players at the event want to watch Tiger. He's still the best player in the world

No he is NOT. He is the most popular. There is a HUGE difference for Golf fans. I bet if you took a poll ACROSS the world at who do you know. Obahma or Woods, Woods would win by a HUGE margin. Just sayin.

I have said nothing about ESPN showing all of Tiger's shots. I commented on them forcing his name onto the small leaderboard and skipping him over one or two golfers, back when he was +1.

They've showed a lot of toms shots and a good bit of them have been bad but he's staying in it by scrambling
If you can get espn3.com he is one of the featured groups. Get to see every shot of his for once. He has been up and down today. Missed a couple of birdie putts.

Bc you cater to your largest audience
How come when they show NASCAR results they how the top 10 and then show you dale jr finished 27th?
How come they show how many points lebron has on the ticker when he's having a mediocre game?
