I've seen Fed play that way before. Just starts dumping forehands into the bottom of the net. It probably starts out as a bad day, and then he ends up getting in his own head. I noticed that in the 4th set. That ridiculous drop shot he tried off a service return? Fed, or any other pro for that matter, only gets cute like that because they've gotten in their own heads.
I can understand it. Tennis is a rough game when the shots aren't going in. You're out there by yourself. You get frustrated. You do stupid things because nothing seems to be working anyway.

Novak's game to break back to 5-5 this set was absolutely insane. Delpo was just unloading shot after shot in 20 shot rallies and Nole tracked everything down. Delpo better win this set in a breaker or he is cooked. He is playing like B+/A- tennis this set and may have nothing to show for it.

Vegas has Djokovic at -2000 against Ferrer. That's 20-1. In a semi. I would say those odds are completely disrespectful to Ferrer -- and they are -- but they're also correct. Ferrer has little to no chance of beating Djokovic
