basically they gave everyone 500 chips, and we played 10/20 NL for 2 hours then they counted chip stacks and placed 1,2,3. Horrible tournament setup, most people had never played Hold'Em before, and two of the people players were old and horrible.

I still got my $140 to some fancy place

That gives me flashbacks of this old arse lady, like 75 years old or something running me broke in Vegas, LOL.

Quick rundown:

Wife and I are on our honeymoon so I didn't play much poker. One night, didn't do too well, was down a bit.

So next time I play, I know it's my last, so I'm going "all in" big time trying to win some cash. I'm struggling again, down a bit. This old as frick lady sits down at the table, and she has ZERO clue as to what do do, to the point where the dealer has to instruct her every time the action was to her. It was 1/2 holdem and I shite you not, in 30 minutes she re-upped 3 or 4 times, putting her down like $600-800 in 30 freaking minutes.

So, finally I get my crack at her. I raise with AQ, she calls, some other dude does as well. I flop 2 pair(AQ5 showing on the board), I bet, dude raises, lady calls, I shove all in, both call(dude was throwing lots of money into lots of pots). Dude turns over AK, and old hag turns over K5(no that's not a typo).

This pot would pretty much put me at about break-even from the 2 sessions. But of course the lady promptly hits a third 5 on the turn.

It wasn't the worst beat ever obviously, but given the situation with a lady older than death just handing out money to half the table than getting half of it back and my expense, that was probably the most pissed i've ever been at a poker table.

All's well that ends well, no luck in the TD tourney, but just won a 45 player tourney.
