OFFICIAL NCAA FB Bet thread (Bowl Games Edition)

Ole Miss is traveling well to this bowl. You're an idiot to think otherwise.
I'm sure no one from TCU will show up and it will be a de facto home game for the Rebs. Totes.
it will probably be 70% ole miss

there are reason that we pick a particular team. Obviously your reason is tcu can score. But i can counter that and say they have not played a defense with a pulse this year and that they have not played a defense even remotely as good as ole miss. See we can argue any reasons for someone picking a particular side. If your on the tcu side, great good luck. You could have just came in and said that and why, and not come in downing someone elses reasons like they are irrelevant.
Well, to be fair, because the final score in a football game played when dudes were rocking leisure suits and bellbottoms is in fact quite irrelevant to what the final score will end up being today.
Do you not sort of agree with me? I mean, do you really see predictive value in bowl results from teams with different players and coaches?

i can't take my pick back on the college pool so you didn't change my mind there

not arguing about it. Good luck

ETA: The guy knows everything. You have seen all the wagers he has won this year since he gives you all his plays before hand.
Blade is like Cartmanbraah from the last two episodes of South Park. He likes to offer commentary on an argument rather than actually saying anything of merit.
And, to be clear, the man has said nary a word of substance in any of the CFB betting threads I've seen. And he posts A LOT.
In sum: Dear Blade: kindly offer up some arguments of your own or STFU. Your meta posts are a waste of otherwise fine electrons.

It was 80% Tennessee when the Vols lost in there to Va Tech.
Just saying.

You mad I dont argue your shite points? Post some fricking plays BEFORE hand and lets see if your points are valid. Arguing a point with a guy who wont post his "bets" is pretty much useless in a bet thread.
This isnt a college football discussion. Last time I checked its a bet thread, which you rarely post bets. Keep on keeping on Bobbyray.

Using the Vols as a measuring stick?

You get so obsessed with this. This isn't a contest thread. I'm not shy about posting any of my plays, but what you're asking me to do sounds like a damn job.
Like, what happens when I'm busy and I don't post the first week or so in this thread? Are you assuming I wasn't betting the games? I
Anyway, here are my plays for every game during the remainder of the bowls, and even the ones I'm not confident in.
TCU
Zona
Cowbell
Auburn
Baylor
Mizzou
FSU
Bama
Pitt
Vols
K State
WashU
ECU
Arky State
Of those, I already have action on
TCU
Auburn
Zona
Baylor
FSU
WashU

No, just some evidence that perhaps fan allocation at neutral site games is not a huge consideration.
The advantage with home field advantage is not having to travel, and having that extra day as a result. The actual participation of the crowd isn't a big deal in football like it is in college basketball. I mean, it's a factor in a road SEC game, but the Chick Fil A bowl isn't going to be anything loosely resembling such an environment.

I dont need "every" play. But lets put this in perspective. You pop in every 2 or 3 weeks, call people out on their plays while maybe giving out one game you bet.
Im just saying you may get people to be open to reading your posts and actually taking them into consideration with an open mind if you posted some winners. If you post rants and go 10-40 nobody would even bother reading your shite. On the other hand if you was 40-10 they would be very receptive to your information.

This I can agree with. Whether its 30% or 80% of fans in the stand at a bowl game, I wouldnt take either or into capping a bowl game.

I'm gonna guess 75% Ole Miss fans. TCU has a tiny alumni network, they were outnumbered in Jerryworld when they played LSU and that was 20 min from their campus.

I honestly don't see why anybody posts "their card" with unit numbers attached and what not on here. This isn't a competition, so what's the point?
Let me elaborate on that. I don't tail people, and I won't tail a dude even if he's hitting at some absurd rate. It's just contrary to my worldview. My picks are my own. But what I do like considering, and why I post in these threads, are other people's reasons for going with one side or another. Those are the discussions I find worthwhile.
To be clear, I don't think somebody who posts their picks is necessarily doing it to show off or something, I just don't care what their record is to date. I care about their reasons.
A convo I would NOTt find helpful:
Me: you're taking the under because you're 12-2 historically when taking the under when a team with white unis is playing against a team in orange unis on an odd-numbered date? But you realize that's focking retarded, right?
Dude: Check the record. I'm at 60% on the year. Speaks for itself.
I've encountered more exchanges like the above than I'd prefer. So that's why I don't pay any mind one way or another to keeping a detailed record of plays in this thread. I hope eveerybody is killing their bookie and/or Vegas, but just dont' throw out a winnign record to me as some kind appeal to authority. The worst bettor in the world could have a compelling reason for taking a particular side.
