Let's give the Jets a cornerback, Artie Burns from Miami (FL).
You know that Todd Bowles can never have enough corners, plus Cromartie is gone and Revis is getting old.
From NFL.com:
Sources Tell Us "Tape is just average. Betting on the combine with him and he'll test off the charts. He's got the traits, but he's not ready yet. He's a good kid who has so much to deal with now that his mom has passed." -- NFL personnel executive.
NFL Comparison David Amerson
Bottom Line While his tape is average and technique can be nonexistent at times, NFL teams often draft on traits at the cornerback spot and assume that coaching will take care of the rest. Burns has length, speed, ball skills and abundant potential. Keep in mind he was limited in his growth at the position thanks to a spring track schedule, but he is still in the infant stages of reaching his pro potential.

He can be a monster if he stops snorting MDMA.

Let's keep it going. The Vikings got a WR in the first round, so they give Teddy more help this time on the line...

The Cincinnati Bengals select:
Jalen Mills, FS, LSU
Jalen Mills, FS, LSU
quote:
Mills was frequently on an island at LSU and he responded well with the speed and fluid redirection skills to smother receivers in press, off and zone coverages. Although his off-field baggage and tweener traits are question marks, Mills has the athleticism to be secure a nickelback role in the NFL, doing his best work as a slot corner.
quote:
Agile feet with the recovery quickness to make-up false steps. Trusts his speed, bursting out of his stance to accelerate and close gaps. Swivel hips and fluid change of directions skills. Collects his footwork and stays balanced in his transition. Locates the ball in the deep half of the field and quickly gains correct body position. Improved route recognition with a good feel in space - knack for running routes better than receivers. Strong hands to contend passes at the catch point. Verbose team leader and accepted his expanded role as a senior. Four-year starter with versatile starting experience at cornerback, safety and nickel - also experienced as a gunner on special teams. Reliable work habits and pushed himself to return in only eight weeks following his Aug. 2015 leg injury.

Can't take them in the first round to avoid being called a homer.
