Barbe K’s to start B3
Line drive single to center. Runner on 1st, 1 out. Sulphur has guy picked at 1st but runner is going and bad throw to 2nd, probably would’ve made it anyways. Runner on 2nd, 1 out
Ground ball to 2nd, runner moves to 3rd. 2 outs
Somehow runner got on. 1st and 3rd, 2 outs then a triple for Barbe. 4-1, runner on 3rd with 2 outs
K ends the inning.
Barbe up 4-1 after 3

Sam Houston took away a run and hit from Roark. LF couldn’t have been deeper than 200ft to catch the line drive.

Radio guys saying home plate umpire is terrible. Of course they are WM radio guys.

I don’t like how he’s calling balls and strikes. Very delayed for sure. It’ll look like he’s calling a ball then all of a sudden it’s a strike. 3rd out was definitely before the WM runner crossed the plate though if they are complaining about that

It’s been a pitchers duel. Sam Houston has 1 hard hit ball. WM has errors and walks. Same thing that happened to Catholic. I love the pressure Lake Charles area teams apply. Crowd the plate, draw walks, HBP, bunt, steal, and a blooper at worst scores a run.

It’s not the actual calls. I’ve only seen 2 that were bad. One to Simpson didn’t touch the inside chalk it was so far inside the box for a strike. It’s the fact he takes a 3 count before calling anything. Several times he shook his head, then 2 seconds later called a strike. The NFHS guy is frustrated too.
