Most of the time and If I had to guess I would say 98% of people who get their foot in the door on someone elses merits are less qualified.

My dad didn't get me that job. I'd see your point if I had come in right away had a full time gig. I worked part time for 2 years. By part time I mean taking overnight hours, holidays, weekday mornings etc. For 2 years I ran the jaguar journal and the real deal high school sports show on saturday mornings. That's not a glamorous job. The full time gig opened up and I got it bc I earned it. I had been doing my 3p-11p shift for almost a full year before the opportunity to do TFH came about. Would I be in radio if it weren't for my dad? Probably not. I grew up around radio and I learned the business of radio. When a guy has a paraent in media and he in turn gets a job in media its considered nepotism. Its the same in coaching. If my dad were a carpenter and I became a carpenter you'd say I'm just going into the family business.

The fact that you were able to maintain some sort of part time employment in radio and eventually get back on the air after the glorious heaping pile of shite that was Total Sports Radio shows us what you earned versus were given.
