quote:Hmmm. That's difficult. I think Edwards will have a good game because he's had an extra week to prepare. Also, the score will likely be high, so I expect plenty of passing. Cromartie notwithstanding, the Chargers haven't stopped many QBs this season. Then there's Brad. At 40, he'll probably still double Bulger's stats, which really isn't saying much. This is a close call. I can't really pick one over the other.
I've got mcnabb on a bye, would you start trent edwards vs. chargers or brad johnson vs. stl?

what about Forte/Moore for Grant/Jennings?
Again still very concerned about Forte hitting the rookie wall, so I'd like to trade him while his value is still high.
This trade would give me Wayne, Colston, Jennings, De.Jackson, and I'll prob get Galloway in waivers. we start 3 rec so I'll have the best rec corps in our league but it will leave me with Graham/Grant/Fargas/McClain at Rb, which is a notch above horrible.
If I did this deal I'd try to spin a rec or two for a stud RB which I would desperately need. Thoughts?

what about Forte/Moore for Grant/Jennings?
Forte is doing well for me in one of my leagues and his only "bad" game was against the Eagles rushing defense. He has not given me any reason to let him go as of now.
But, this is also about the time that Grant found his game last year and paired with Jennings, should be a valuable move if Forte does drop off. The only thing with Jennings is if Rodgers tweaks his injury again b/c it seemed like Flynn looked for Driver as his 1st option instead of Jennings.
I guess that if you think Forte is going to drop off, this would be a good move for you.

I hate thinking this but his YPC continue to go down and his workload has been consistent for well over a year now. I just think he's due to tire out and concede some carries to K.Jones.
Just a gut feeling.
He's asking if I'd be willing to put a different rec. in the deal and I just don't think I can. The whole point of this deal is it would leave me with 4 stud receivers thus making a trade for a better RB possible.
I'm correct in thinking this right?

Just got proposed a trade. I would get Larry Johnson and Tony Gonzalez. I would give up Chicago's D, but I already have Pitt's D.
My other running backs are Lynch, R. Brown, and Kevin Smith. Receivers are Bowe, Cotchery, R. Wayne, Marshall and Colston.

I'm 5-1, which puts me 2nd out of 12 teams, and playing the worst team in the league this week. I'm looking to make a trade to get a RB though.
Starters:
QB - Jay Cutler
RB - Frank Gore
RB - Larry Johnson
RB/WR - Bernard Berrian
WR - Plaxico Burress
WR - Andre Johnson
TE - Owen Daniels
K - Ryan Longwell
D/ST - Giants
Bench:
QB - Jake Delhomme
RB - Edgerrin James (bye)
RB - Justin Fargas
RB - Leon Washington
WR - Torry Holt
WR - Jerry Porter (bye)
TE - Alge Crumpler
As far as starters go, I believe my only spot that needs improvement is the RB playing behind Frank Gore. Edge and LJ are ok but the other 5-1 team in my league is looking to trade with me.
Here is the trade:
Reggie Bush for Plax and Edge. Seems like a good trade for me. Bush is the #1 player in our league, and I'm solid at WR so trading away Plaxico shouldn't really hurt. He's also willing to trade away Marion Barber instead of Bush.
Should I accept the trade?

Starters -
QB - Peyton Manning
RB - Larry Johnson
RB - Matt Forte
RB/WR - Wes Welker
WR - Braylon Edwards
WR - Lance Moore
TE - Chris Cooley
DEF/SP - Giants
K - Nick Folk
Bench
DeSean Jackson
Robert Royal
Darren Sproles
Le'Ron McClain
Brian Griese
Marques Colston
Jets D/ST
Probably going to replace Moore with Colston if it looks like he will be effective closer to the end of the week.
Will also likely put the Jets as my starting Def/Sp since they are playing Oakland.
Any thoughts/advice? I need it, I am 2-4.

What do you think if I would drop Mcfadden and pick up D Rohdes? My other RB's are LT, Slaton and J Stewart/

I just traded away Randy Moss and Edge (he rides my bench all the time since I have Jacobs, Slaton and Lynch), for Calvin Johnson. Some may shake their heads at me, but I think that with Williams gone, he'll get even more opportunites at the ball.

I have a trade offer right now.
I get Chad Johnson and give up Steve Slaton.
Just a little background on my team. Right now I am starting Andre Johnson, Santana Moss, and Bobby Engram at receiver with Eddie Royal on the bench. I am starting Steven Jackson and Marshawn Lynch at running back with Steve Slaton, Jonathan Stewart and Edgerrin James on the bench.

quote:While this would give you 4 good WR's + picking up Galloway, that will leave you with say 4 1/2 (with Galloway hurt most of the time). If you think that you can trade a couple of them for a stud RB, who would you try to get? Also, do you use a flex option? Just wondering because in most of the leagues I am in, WR's get more points (by the bunches) but have to have an incredible game (at least a TD + 100 yards) to offset the consistent numbers put up by RB's most of the time. I know all leagues are different and there are exceptions to every rules (B Marshall

quote:I would accept the trade - if you can keep LJ and Gore at your RB's and Bush as your flex and Berrian/A Johnson as your WR's, that would look like a pretty good lineup to me (especially in a 12 team league). First, I would see which week you play him (the other 5-1 guy) to make sure all of your starters are available.

PS just for the hell of it, toss in LJ or Gore to see if he will part with Barber too.
I have seen stranger things happen (Traded Fasano for Thomas Jones

Brian Griese (drop for Anderson, Shaub or Ryan)
Darren Sproles (I would hold on to him in case LT goes down or if you get return points)
DeSean Jackson (bye)
Marques Colston (I am waiting one more week)
Use any of these to get another RB for the flex
Robert Royal (when will you sit Cooley for him)
Le'Ron McClain (trade him while he has some value before McGahee comes back not to mention that Rice is filling in nicely)
Giants D/ST (I usually only keep one defense after thier bye week)
*or you could pair Welker and Moore/McClain for a nice RB and take a chance on Colston this week. But even if this week doesn't work out, you would look pretty good with Edwards, D Jackson and Colston + you will have added a good RB for the flex position. Just my opinion. Good luck.

Good/Bad idea
Trade Westbrook for Steve Smith
PPR league. I got Parker, Brown, Portis, and Julius Jones for my RB. Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, Cotchery, and Berrian.
