quote:So he has no QB? That's almost as lucky as me playing a guy who has to start Bulger since Warner's on a bye. Only bad news is that here in Dallas the nay-sayers are predicting that St. Louis is going to light up the Dallas D. I hope that is not the case.
guy I'm playing this week has Gerrard(sp?) at QB and he has a bye, and he has Palmer who is like the 8th string QB now so I should be ok

quote:Interesting turn of events. My opponent picked up Brad Johnson and dropped Bulger. Now everyone in Dallas is saying that Johnson is starting, not Romo. I doubt Romo will even see the field. He fumbles too much when he has ten healthy fingers. They are not going to give this game away because he only has nine.

So, what's your thought about Johnson?

And Forte Jones for Forte is not really an upgrade for you.
While appreciate the advice, Forte is a HUGE upgrade over Jones in this league. Forte is ranked 5th with 20.16 PPG and Jones is ranked 20th with 14.00 PPG.
6 points would have made the difference in two of my losses.

quote:Objection! Forte has not had a bye, but Jones has. I agree that Forte has been scoring more points than Jones, but, just based on what I've seen, I think the entire Bears team has overachieved thus far and that Jones has underachieved a little. I think it would be great if you could get Forte, I just hate to see you give up Fitzgerald to do it.

Flacco so he can't get a quality QB off of waivers
quote:Maybe he'll go for Orlovsky (sp?). I'm thinking he'll be throwing a lot this week.
The best available QB for him to pick up is Kerri Collins

EliPlays against SF this week.

Eli played against the Browns last week and where did that get him?
Don't get me wrong, I thought the same thing but now I'm having doubts. San Fran has more INTs and sacks than the Pats defense, whom Cutler's going against.
ETA: They're projected to put up the same # of points in my league, I'm just looking at the stats and am looking for a second opinion.
AND I forgot I just traded to get Burress. Should I try to double up?

I did take that into account.

That's cool, thanks.

I have Johnathan Stewart at RB this week and they play the Saints, but my league awards return points, and the Sainst may score a lot meaning more return yards for Stewart. My other options to start in his place are John Carlson or Heath Miller. What would you do?
Posted on 10/17/08 at 2:17 pm to TechDawg2007
quote:IMO, tight ends are too hit or miss unless you have Gates. Carlson looks to try to get the ball from Seneca Wallace. Miller may have a decent week, but I thnk the Steelers will try to keep the ball on the ground--Go Mewelde!

don't forget about witten

quote:I think so. He has just as much chance to score a TD as the other guys and you get the return yards. Like you said, look for NO to kick off early and often.
so keep Stewart in??
