sometimes it's worth a shot I suppose.

last year I constantly spammed a dude in our league with Jeremy Shockey for Tom Brady. I did it at least twice a week.

did it work?

I am in a bind in one league. From what I have been reading, Carson Palmer's shoulder is not making me feel very comfortable and I have no 2nd qb after selling out for Buckhalter, B Johnson and Billy Miller. I need to know who anyone thinks I should trade for Jamarcus (just for this weekend). Here is my lineup so far:

Starters
QB-C Palmer vs CLE (shoulder?)
RB-M Turner vs CAR (should be fine)
RB-C Buckhalter vs CHI (may start)
WR-H Baskett vs CHI (terrible secondary)
WR-J Cotchery vs AZ (not sold on this one)
WR-Roddy White vs CAR (always does well vs CAR)
TE-Billy Miller vs SF (big day w/o Shockey & Colston?)
K -R Longwell
D/ST- Min

Bench
RB-J Addai BYE
RB-M Pittman vs KC (4 TD's on 19 carries + KC's D)
WR-A Johnson vs JAX (not sure - may start)
WR-Bryant Johnson vs NO (should have a good day but injuries may keep him from playing much)
TE-C Cooley vs DALLAS (I am a Cooley guy, but I like Miller this week)

Any thoughts?

No but it was always fun making him mad. I also used to offer him whoever happened to get injured that week for Brady and Moss.

take the comfort in knowing how last years 1st Browns/Bengals game went down. Just an all out fricking offensive track meet for both teams. He will probably put up some decent numbers this week regardless of his shoulder(I'm sure it will easily be his best game this year...but that's not saying much)..........I would ride him out this weekend and see if any nobodies emerge at QB this weekend from Back up status, maybe you could pick up Brady Quinn.

Yeah, that's what I keep telling myself but the more I read, the less comfortable I am feeling. I know, I know, stop reading

I will probably end up doing that, but I have a really good feeling about Jamarcus this weekend.

I was thinking about doing that Tuesday

So, with all of that said,if you were to trade one of these players for JR, who would you let go?

that's just it, I'm not sure I'd really want to let any of those guys go for Jamarcus. San Diego's secondary just found their stride and they found a nice replacement for Merriman. I doubt JR has a very good day on Sunday(he's yet to throw a pick so he's certainly due).........that being said, if you absolutely have a feeling about JR, I would say Buckhalter. I don't think he'll really go off against Chicago and he sounds like a nice bargaining chip right now. I think at best he'll have a mediocre day and eventually Westbrook will be back, maybe even next week so do it while he's hot.

ETA: and start Michael Pittman in place of Buckhalter.

I thought about that one a lot too, but it looks like Buckhalter may even start and Chicago's defense is putrid lately. On the other hand 4 TD's in 19 carries is hard to ignore.

If I do trade for Jamarcus, I think I might just bite the bullet and let Miller go and hope Cooley has a good game against Dallas. Hell, I dunno

no worries, I am really not too worried about this league (it is one that I use to take chances on different "Sleepers" for my $$$ league), but I am 3-0 now and want to win it.

I traded away Larry Johnson so that leaves me with

Tomlinson
Chris Johnson
Earnest Graham
Steve Slaton

Obviously I am starting Tomlinson. Who do you guys suggest I start at my other rb?

Personally, I would go with Slaton. He is getting serious praise from the coaching staff and should be getting most of the carries this week.

E. Graham - I have always liked him but he is splitting carries with Dunn lately. Hopefully Griese will begin to help him out with making opposing defenses respect the passing game but I am not too high on him right now.

C.Johnson - Now that LenDale will proabably start and Henry still getting reps, I am not sure how much significant PT he will see.

just my opinion

Edit: Of course Graham ans Johnson will probably have the games of their lives this week

Question- Should I start Tony Gonzalez or Isaac Bruce for the WR/TE spot on my team?

Tough one. Although the more popular vote would be to go with Gonzalez (who is dependable), my gut feeling is to go with Bruce because even though he is not putting up big numbers yardage wise, he always seems to find the endzone, especially against the Saints. Dunno, but I think you will be ok either way, your call - Good Luck!

I would either start White or Mendenhall. I would lean toward White BUT I am not sure how much he will be splitting carries with Johnson and Perry with his bad shoulder.

You could also take a chance with Mendenhall since he will be starting this week. The only setback is the Ravens' D. They held Willie Parker to 42 yards last year but I think they will use him a lot as a receiver out of the backfield.

As far as Grant,I just don't like the matchup with Tampa's rushing D. Not to mention that everyone is keying on him.

Judging solely on the rushing D's they will be opposing, I would go with McFadden but check into his toe injury. I know he will start and if his toe does not bother him, he should have a good day.

With that being said, if you don't want to take a chance on D Mac's toe, I think Slaton would be a solid start as well.

Just to let you know, every time I drop Heap, he seems to have a great game a week or two later.
Just FYI, I dropped Heap and picked up Billy Miller (for this weekend anyway).
Reason: with Shockey & Colston out, he should see some significant action (fingers crossed) in the middle of the field and in the Red Zone.
As far as Owen Daniels, Vernon Davis, or Jerramy Stevens, I would probably pick up Owen Daniels, but that's just me.
Good Luck!

Should I start McFadden or Jonathan Stewart? Already got LT and Slaton going, need another back.
