I find this to be quite telling considering who the host is.

More that the Euros getting ready for the British are overseas already, and some other guys don't have the desire to play another US Open course while getting ready for the British

We'll see how many guys end up playing on the PGA Tour next week that skipped this week.

I think Greenbriar is going to be decent because of guys wanting to get one tournament in before the British and it's a well run event. It's becoming what the 84 Lumber used to be. Tiger and Phil have already committed

LSU doesn't have the golf channel on their cable package, but I'm following on shot tracker. I can't remember exactly but isn't the tee shot on 18 downhill? Either way, Tiger just stroked one 356 yards

18 plays downhill off the tee and way downhill on the 2nd shot. He his driver sand wedge over the green on the 523 yd par 4.

that's still pretty ridiculous. The other day on the golf channel they we're replaying one of Jack's masters wins and it's incredible how much better the equipment is nowadays. He hit a full 8 iron for a 120 yard shot I suck and I hit my 8 iron 140+

The lofts of his irons were probably 4 degrees weaker and he could have been hitting into the wind.

are you implying that Jack could hit a pitching wedge 150 yards?

I bet he could push it 160 if he had to. Jack bombed it with persimmon woods and weak lofted/shorter irons.

Jack could easily pull that off. Deloft the club and jack up on it and hit a draw

any of us could that wasn't the point. My original point was that from 1980 to 2012 the technological advances in clubs is ridiculous

I'm pretty sure that's what they were saying, then they kept zooming in on his putter, but they never got a close enough shot to tell if I was definitely the Cameron.

I just saw a close up view of the putter on the replay, and it was definitely still the Nike Method. Not sure what these guys were talking about on TV earlier.

It seems like tiger is still off with his distance control. Most of his putts are outside twenty feet. He did have a couple of close putts yesterday that he didn't capitalize on. Hope he putts a little better today.

He is back to his old ping grip on that putter and back to his old putting style.
