Good point. It's arguable that this course was playing just as tough or tougher than the US Open last year. Conditions were completely different, so it's hard to compare.

I just have fond memories of excitedly waking up at 5 am to watch the british open as a kid. It's just a great event. I love the bleak british landscapes and all the history.
