I think this is more indicative of money coming in on either candidate. This is one time where I think Vegas is in the dark just as much as everyone else, they are just trying to get equal action.

What's that? I've seen some bookmakers on twitter talking about how much action it is taking to move the odds. The odds are moving with response to money, not exit polls or what not.

Dave Mason ?@DaveMasonBOL
This morning we needed Obama, now we need Romney; i.e. late bettors on Obama (-375).

Dave Mason ?@DaveMasonBOL
@jmac630fu "intentionally misinforming", seriously? As of this am we were in the red on Romney, now slightly on Obama. Just facts man

They are wanting even action.

the point is if one truly feels this election is going to be a toss-up and vegas is just "in the dark" then they would be absolutely silly not to lay large money on Romney at these odds.

thus, one would think high volume betters would do so and move the line more back to even money (which is not happening)

I'd be interested to see what the limits are at these off shore books on the election. I think that would tell you a lot more about it.

I just checked on BOL. It is max of $250.

I think that is telling as to why you don't see tons of movement. I don't think this is a huge money making venture for these books, more of a publicity thing - hoping to get players to stick around and lose their money on sports.
