Given his genes...his son would most likely be a pussy anyway.

But if you don't let your kid play pop warner or high school football, they have very little chance of playing pro.

Lots of players in NFL started playing later on in High school, college

You all would stop your older son from participating in something he loves or strives for?

Yeah, unless you can show me a list that shows that greater than 10% of NFL players didn't start playing football until college, I'm gonna stick with what I said.

If you stop him from playing from the word go, he won't love the sport.

Find something else for him to do. There is basketball, baseball, soccer, track, etc.

What? That response makes no sense. I also already conceded that specifying pro weakens his comment, but that's just nitpicking.

Different perception here I guess.

I would say that letting your kids do whatever the hell they want screams pussification of parenting.

Your kid is watching Breaking Bad on tv and says I wanna become a meth dealer and you say no way it's illegal.

I'm sure he could stop a 21 year old athlete from playing professional football, son or not.

He could keep his kid from playing football until the kid was 18 and if he did that his kid would never play pro football.

That's debatable. But they definitely did you a disservice if you never heard the word "no" from them.

As far as letting me play football because I wanted too makes them suck? That's hilarious

Don't think I said anything that stupid.

If your son wanted to deal heroin you'd step aside so he can pursue his dreams?

And then I saw this point was made.
