It's not then drives, he's a foul merchant, it's Jim harden all over again and no one liked his style of play either.

Can't imagine where anyone would get that idea.

More original posts, the one clip from the game yesterday that every Shai hater has already posted.

As someone who doesn't regularly watch a shameless foul baiting grifter, that play was jarring.

The NBA needs to fix calls like that. Should probably be an offensive foul.

Id like this video to include all the stop, pull-up jumpers he made lol. Just because you cant do it doesn't mean it's a spot noone would ever actually take a jump shot from

SGA is a great scorer, the best mid range scorer in the game. He's on a great team. He's also a foul merchant. These concepts aren't mutually exclusive.

If you look up the numbers he doesnt get more free throws per FGA than other guys in the league tho.

I look forward to hearing how the brilliant minds of the MSB refute this data!

Being a FT merchant is watching games more than stats necessarily, but if you take a look at the top 10 scorers, SGA's FGA/FT is at 41.42%, higher than anyone except Giannis and Harden. Giannis gets fouled because he's a bad FT shooter. I'm fine with saying Harden is a bigger FT merchant than SGA if that's the argument.

They’ll just disappear like yesterday when Jokic got his arse handed to him.

I can't take anyone seriously who argues that Brunson, Young, and Harden don't hunt for fouls by initiating contact. You'd have to simply not watch games to believe that.

If you watch basketball surely youd realize SGA drives to the rim more than the other top scorers.

Take out 3 point attempts and then run your numbers.

Also dame lillard is pretty close to sga, 2.6 fga per fta vs 2.4 doesnt seem like a 40%+ difference, but i guess dame isnt scoring enough to qualify under ur criteria

Tatum averages 6.3 free throws per game, sga averages 9.

Tatum averages 20.3 FGA per game, SGA averages 21.6.

Then look at 3PA, Tatum is averaging 10.2 three point attempts per game while SGA is sitting at 5.8.. Its perfectly reasonable for a guy driving at the basket 6 more times per game to get 2.7 more free throws per game.

Under the criteria you suggested, Dame is 39% FGA/FTA, while SGA is 41%. Jovik is only at 31% FGA/FTA. Again, this was the stat you wanted to point out.

SGA foul baits. I know because I watch his games. He intentionally seeks out contact to defenders to get to the line. This isn't a controversial take. So does Brunson, so does Austin Reaves, so does Harden. It's not enjoyable basketball to watch and the NBA was supposed to fix this but they are now letting it slide again.

This pretty much confirms what I said.

Dame being older/slower easily explains the slight difference, SGA is harder to defend (without fouling)
