Take away those “extra” free throws and all the other stats you love dip as well - Scoring average, PER, TS%, WS, OWS

This isn’t rocket science. I’m not saying SGA isn’t having a great season. I’m proving by the stat ranking side by side, Jokic beats him by a mile even with the extra help.

The award has never been “most valuable to their team”. It is most valuable to the league. This story of this season is about the rise of OKC and Shai will win the award pretty easily.

If boom said it's SGA then...

Yeah it was never close, a lot of these guys fell into a marketing trap because Jokic and Shai just happened to be playing on ABC today.

Somebody even said they put money on Jokic winning after the game on Friday.

Shai also plays good defense though. That’s being completely overlooked.

Funny thing in sports. You can’t take them away.

Go look up the stars over last 30 years. SGA FT rate is less than most of them. Less than MJ. Less than Kobe. Less than LBJ. List goes on.

He drives more than most stars and his fouls per drive are also less. Its been hashed out here already but keep on pushing a fake narrative.

OKC had huge national games, with tremendous viewership with KD/Westbrook in town.

That’s a 1980s simpleton mindset. No one gives 2 f’s where people play anymore. Global brand. Ask Giannis.

Watch his leg that wasn’t a flop. Maybe not a foul either but his leg gave out and could have been season ending if gone a bit more either way.

What I know is you could take all of OKC’s FT’s away and let Denver keep of theirs and OKC still wins by 2. Narratives lol. Love how many butt hurt anti-OKC fans there are. Makes it funner

For the record this is where OKC ranks in Free Throw Attempts as a team. Almost dead last.

Lmfao. He would've hurt his leg via flopping and throwing his head back.

Would've been hilarious

And yet SGA is having close to an historic season with free throws relative to other players in the same year

And you still don’t see the issue?

I’m sorry what? Gonna need to see some links for that.

He currently averages 1.5 FT less a game than Giannis fyi.

basketball reference has SGA at 555 free throws vs Jokic's 346. Where are those numbers from?

Per 36.

Actual free throws per playing time.

8.5 for Shia
6.6 per Giannis (who is intentionally fouled bc he sucks at FTs)

Not sure why Giannis's FT numbers are relevant anyway. Teams foul him intentionally in close games because he's a 59% FT shooter.

So y’all are pissing your pants over 8 free throws? When Shai drives more than anyone in the league? Get real.
