The NFL playoffs are in full effect and at least there you don’t get in because of name and actually have to earn your way into he playoffs.

CFB has become pretty stale in recent memory. All it ever is is Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, and a new team every year it seems. At least the NFL has a lot of new teams in the playoffs from last year. I much prefer the parity of the NFL to CFB.

Why? Bama got in based on name and people “thinking” they were the best or better team. In the NFL you get in by actually winning your division and playing fairly close schedules.

College football has always been a joke with how it is set up. The NFL for all its faults at least crowns a legitimate championship determined solely by the results on the field and not by the random opinions of a committee.

On top of that, winning the playoffs doesn’t mean Bama is the best team. It means of the 4 selected they won their two games and get crowned.

Congrats to them for getting blessed by a flawed system twice. Saban’s an amazing coach and I just want him to retire so there is some variety in CFB again.

College baseball is about to start and I've always though the baseball regional is the best format in sports.

Have to beat a team 2/3 times to advance to the championship tourney. Allows less room for "fluke" wins.

Eli Manning has won two super bowls. you’ll never convince me that’s a “legit” champ

Will you have the same take if the same two teams are in the Superbowl again this year?

I'm so glad all the parity keeps the Patriots in the Superbowl pretty much as much as Bama is in the National Championship game.

College baseball is awesome. Love how the tournament is set up, and it's a sport that works well with all of the parity of the tournament each year.

Like it or not, they earned their way into the tournament based entirely on what they did and not because some asshats decided they get in over another team.

Anything to the tune of “melt”’ has become pure, lazy dumbassery around here. Get creative.

Patriots earn their way into the playoffs every year not because of their name but because they won their division and then their conference against other teams that either win their division or were the best records based on very close schedules.

If it is the Pats vs the Falcons again this year, it’s fine. They would’ve earned their way in unlike a team like Bama.

I'll give you that the AFC in the 21st century has been a complete joke. However, the NFC has been a lot of fun, and this season is indicative of that. To me, I'd rather see the Patriots every year rather than Alabama because there are many other teams who are a match for New England as opposed to Alabama, who is on a completely different level than the rest of CFB.

Alabama lost last year and won in OT this year. It's not like they've thrown up a 50 burger and blown out their opponents. If you can't just take that game for what it was, great, then your just a negative little bitch

they didn’t play half the league. I wish it was more feasible for american sports to operate like soccer. football never could because of the physical aspect of the game.

but everyone plays a home and home against everyone. most points wins. fin.

that’s a true champion

You do realize 2 of the remaining 8 NFL teams were not division champions?

You mean the 2 other teams that played similar schedules to basically everyone else in the league?

Big difference in playing 13 out of 31 other teams vs 12 out of 120+. Furthermore, they got in purely on how they performed and results not someone picking them to go in.

9-7 Tennessee could still win the super bowl... Give me college in that aspect.
