Notre Dame will win out and they'll be in. They're playing really good and have a lot of weapons. Two RBs that can break it at any time, QB play is way better than last year, WRs that can make plays. Defense that is solid. Go ahead and sleep on them. They're going to be a tough out and wouldn't shock me if they win the whole damn thing.

They did something mid season to flip the switch on defense. The defense was atrocious the first couple of games and now they’re playing exceptionally better.

Trying to prop up ND’s run last year by just mentioning “they beat Georgia” without that context is disingenuous.

No this is bullshite. UGA had a month of practice with Stockton it wasn’t that they played their back up mid game bc Beck got hurt. That dog may hunt for Texas if UGA beat them in the SEC Championship but they didn’t. Stockton is arguably doing better than Beck this season as well.

It’s possible to accept 2024 ND was just a good team who had a brain fart early in the season.

Injuries DO NOT MATTER in a playoff system. Sure, they suck, but the entire point of of a playoff is to win or lose on the field. We’ve had plenty of Natties in the past with backup QB’s playing and no one is taking down a banner because their opponent had bad luck.

Of course you’re correct. I can’t tell if it’s Georgia fans or homer SEC fans, but I like how they keep referring to him as a “backup quarterback”. We’re talking about Gunner Stockton. The UGA current starting quarterback, so don’t give me that line of bs. Plus they had a month to prepare. Plus, Notre Dame was all banged up all over the field as well. The bottom line is Notre Dame dominated Georgia on the lines of scrimmage and it was apparent to anybody who watched the game. I think some people are having a hard time processing how Notre Dame looked in that game and in the playoffs last year compared to the prior 15 years. I have a simple answer. Brian Kelly.

If Stockton was as good as Beck, why was he the backup?

It’s not like they were without a random offensive guard or something. They didn’t have their starting QB for the game.

The also said that pre-Sugar Bowl, Stockton playing was an improvement to Beck. You simply can’t buy into the crock of shite they spew. Notre Dame was also with significant injuries - and these weren’t just random guys. They were without their All American DT and CB and had numerous offensive linemen. They physically beat the shite out of a Georgia that game. Like rubbing a puppy’s face in shite and piss on the Superdome carpet.

And Jeremiyah Love was at best ~60% throughout the playoffs. There's a reason he only touched the ball six times against Georgia. Certainly far from a random guy.

The new rankings are out, and Notre Dame STILL has only one (1) ranked win.
