USC is private… they don’t have to comply with Title IX spending parity.
I'm pretty certain this is 100% false.
Title IX requirements apply to all schools that receive Federal funding.

Virtually every private college receives some form of federal funding. This includes:
Federal student loans
Work-study programs
Pell grants
Research grants
So yes. It's 100% false.

Outside of the south, college baseball has almost no fan interest. Very few programs outside of the southern states put emphasis on baseball, if they did maybe the NCAA would up the ridiculously low number of scholarships allotted for baseball.
You don't even have to use that as a qualifier. Even the majority of SEC programs lose millions annually on baseball. Only Arky, LSU, and the MS schools make money more often than not.

Doesn’t LA have mass transit?
Yes but to get to USC, you have to get on the Blue Line. That shite ain't going to happen after dark.
When I lived in El Segundo, I'd take the Green Line to Watts then the Blue Line to downtown then a bus to watch baseball if the Cardinals were in town.
The Blue Line goes through South Central. Again, not happening after dark.

You do realize that Tennessee's baseball stadium only has a listed capacity of 4,045, right? Using the numbers listed above, Tennessee averaged appx. 4,388 per game. (171,151 / 39) 108% of capacity.
I did not realize this and yes that would make it an unfortunate example by me, but I could pick several others that would make the point I'm trying to make and that point is still valid despite my error in randomly stopping at no. 10.
You point to South Carolina and use stadium capacity - the basketball arena is almost always going to be bigger and I don't think stadium capacity is the issue here.
Outside the South and particularly the SEC there is almost zero interest in college baseball - we love it here and I think that's great but women's college basketball is just more popular nationally and it's not even really that close. I personally prefer college baseball to women's basketball as do most LSU fans but we are in the minority.
And let's be honest neither are all that popular nationally relatively speaking. They both spike a bit in iterest come post season and that's about it.

Nobody at USC cares about college baseball.
I get the impression that other than a handful of alums no one at USC really cares about sports.
