Anyone envy them? I feel as if I sometimes envy non sports fans because of stress. Of course the Tide win a lot so not too much stress there, but I stress for my NFL team. Also I feel non fans don't value their self worth by the performance of their team. So you can't talk shite to them. So they win. I do feel they are missing out though. I guess they just have their own interests. I do envy them sometimes because we get so invested that we feel we are only relevant as individuals if our teams are relevant. However, that being said non fans do prove that there are more important matters in life then men in tights throwing around a pigskin. Um....aside from that hell with you non fans roll tide. Sports matter not real life.

If your self worth is tied to how a team performs, it's probably time to take a break and reexamine your priorities in life.

Yeah try telling that to the majority of fans on this board......to them it's sports and real life is a joke.

One day you'll grow up and it won't be so stressful.

I get mad about a loss for about 10 minutes. At the end of the day it’s just a game

People that only know about watching other people play sports are usually boring as hell tbh. The male equivalent of "basic bitches," as it were.

Same. And even sooner after a bad loss. I was over yesterday’s game at the beginning of the 4th.

You wouldn't have thought it was after the shite talk back forth between tide and tigers past weeks. If it wasn't so important than why do we invest our time on a useless board while we could be doing more important things?

I’ve been pretty chill about sports game results since the 2006 Auburn game. Go through a couple more kick sixes and get back to me.

You’re judging things from football posts by a group comprised of probably 85% 18-25 year olds. Once somebody leaves that age bracket I would imagine it becomes a side hobby like anything else for the majority of people. I used to get real into it as a student and young graduate but now it’s just a couple hours of entertainment on tv every weekend and an occasional nostalgic visit.

Hell look at me I'm an IRISH fan, and I get a lot of shite for being a fan. However, I keep rooting my team on no matter what. I know at the end of the day, it's sports and just a game. Think of it in terms of real life. Say if I was hanging off a cliff and a rival fan was there to save me. Do you think I'd not want him to save me? Lol the frick does it matter? When it's all said and done we all will meet Saint Peter at the gate and I doubt we get denied because we rooted for a particular team.

Yeah but the non fans are on to something. We can't talk shite to them. They win. We lose.

My favorite college team is Alabama and my favorite NFL team is the Browns.

How am I supposed to feel about myself?

I'm a wrestling fan so I prefer to value my self-worth by the performance of my favorite rassler. It can get rough sometimes.

He is playing the role of being a tide fan that is lamenting his taking a sports team as a huge aspect of his life. He is making fun of bama fans having their life revolve around their team. Seems like a lot of trouble.
