Silva humbled. It's gonna kill him, it was a winnable fight for him. Needed to stay disciplined, needs to cut out the histrionics but I guess that's who he is.

Wow, Dana's got Jon Anik commentating for Canelo-Crawford. Smart move, adds instant familiarity and professionalism, makes it feel UFC-esque.

He said he wanted to speed it up. I hope Dana can start getting boxing more like the ufc production I feel the ufc is easily the best in the business with production.

Boxing has alway been this way. We just all got used to UFC going fast.

Back in the day, you'd buy a Mike Tyson PPV for $80 and sit through 4 hours of shite to get to 1-2 rds of the Tyson main event.

People basically just had parties for the entire undercard, then watched the Main event only.

He's promoting and producing this event. Why isn't it being produced like a UFC event?

I tuned in for a hot minute hoping to see something different from the same old shite in boxing for the last 30 years just to find it's the same old same old.

Live music from Tool.

They did this before Fury-Usyk, too--live music.

That’s probably more for the crowd than the tv audience. But yeah. At least the concert didn’t put me to sleep like the fight did.

There was more excitement in less than 2 rounds of Lopes-Silva than there was in all 12 of Canelo-Crawford. UFC is like pure cocaine.

The Venn diagram of boxing fans and hardcore Tool fans would be interesting to see. Not sure there would be too many who would be like, 'Wow, we get to see Canelo-Crawford, and we get to see 2 members of Tool--you gotta be kidding me!'

The UFC has it down pat where each guy has their signature song picked out and it adds to the whole thing. A huge part of Paddy's hype comes from that cool song he walks out to. Pereira's chilling walkout, like you're watching an ancient warrior step out of the past and into the building. Last time Topuria hit the uptempo part of his song exactly when the camera cut to him leaving backstage and entering the crowd, it was great.
