i thought that players looked forward to rewarding their pro-bowl selection with a trip to Hawai'i to enjoy a few days in paradise with a 3-hr pick-up game in full-pads.

I liked Herman Edwards take on how much it mattered when he played because they needed the money.
Would have been awesome to see a Pro Bowl played with a ton of effort like that.

I'm confused. I thought the Pro Bowl was Roger Goodell's vision for all NFL games: half-speed, tackle-free, joyless football.

I would be okay with that. The stars don't play anyway and its a joke. Just award the titles 1st/2nd/3rd Team All NFL.
