Go on the Rant and make a "How many titles does Bama REALLY have?" thread.

I just feel like stating here that Alabama only made it to the 1926 Rose Bowl because Colgate and Tulane turned it down.

Now come on man. I've been seeing you FSU folks IN LOCKSTEP target Alabama fans here and IN LOCKSTEP defend JW at every turn. You can look back over this thread and see that each fan base posting here has had an array of opinion except for FSU fans. As an Alabama fan, I have tried to have an even keel approach to the matter. There has been a split of opinion as well of other Bama posters. Now show me an FSU poster who regularly posts in this thread who has given the "other side" a fair shake?

All I'm pointing out is that claiming it's the Bama fans who as a whole are biased on here is just not being intellectually honest and making such claims is pretty much backing my contention up.

There are like 3 FSU fans on this site and all 3 have posted in this thread.

There are 219382938923 Bama fans that have posted in this thread.

Obviously not every Bama fan has attacked Winston in this thread, but the majority have. And is there a reason why FSU fans shouldn't be fully in support of Winston right now? If so, I'd like to know why.

You're count is off by one or two...I think you should recount!

Not sure about that one. Maybe a majority coming after the FSU fans who seem to want to defend JW simply because of fan allegiance which leads me to...

I'm of the opinion that there is a LOT out there that we don't know and the prudent thing for an FSU fan, Alabama fan, I Don't Care Who U fan is to wait until the dust settles. To jump on either side right now is asking to be on the wrong side of a very delicate situation.

In a perfect world no one would overreact to this type of news because of how our criminal system is designed. But you have people that automatically assume guilt based on what has been leaked. I have no problem supporting Winston based on the sole fact that his name has been drug through the mud.

And that is fair to an extent but we have a potential rape victim here and even though JW's name has been tarnished a bit, most normal level headed people know this has a process to go through and nobody can say at this juncture whether or not he is innocent or guilty. If he is innocent, he will have an opportunity to clear his name but we simply can't be dismissive of the potential crime involved either and blindly defend someone who may be a criminal. In turn, it's not right to assume guilt either so I am just trying to absorb information and get some established facts before I would defend either party in this case since it's so fluid and it would be the same if JW was wearing crimson and white!

What if he's guilty?

If he is charged, he deserves to be suspended as that is FSU policy. If he is guilty of rape, he deserves to sit in prison just like any other rapist.

ETA: Anyone who follows this thread knows where I stand on this. I'm not about to tie my name to ANY human being that I don't personally know. Would it be out of character? Sure, but I don't know JW on a personal level. We don't know what any of these guys do behind closed doors. I've said this from day one.

Right, I'm addressing the guy who said he's supporting him solely because his name has been drug "through the mud."

Edit: For FSU, not him.

Not posting it.

Looks like nothing but circumstantial evidence. Jameis STILL might have raped her.

When you see these wanna be Columbo's come up with tweets, etc.....
there is some stuff out there.....that just doesnt add up. (Again he still might have done it.)

Just leaving it at that.

I just wish Meggs would just come up with a decision. (but I understand him taking his time)

DNA and the quick rape report are far from circumstantial

If hes not charged, the family will go to the feds.

This will get real ugly for FSU, especially after the botched investigation. Protests, women are not safe, good ole boy politics, etc

Time to turn it over to a judge

You're right (no sarcasm) DNA confirmation, rape report, still no arrest.

I'm not talking about that..

Again..

You havent seen what I've seen. I'm not saying there wasnt rape.

Just the things I'VE SEEN.....that there might be some credibility issues going on.

Put it this way.

Remember how all the pics and info about Trayvon came out? It made you THINK...he was much different than the way he was presented early on.

Thats what I'm getting at.

I know what you're saying. I felt the same way, I don't want to paint a certain picture of what could be a victim to rape but if/when these things get out to the media there could be a change in public opinion. In my opinion, Winston and his lawyer have evidence we don't know about yet. So what is it that Meggs is waiting on?

Regardless of if you are a FSU fan it would be wise to expand your knowledge of this beyond what ESPN and mainstream media is reporting.

Yea, again...

If Jameis did it, then he's got to do the time. And I hope the victim is able to move on with her life in a positive way.

Just saying if we're going to question certain things and people (Jameis/TPD, etc)

Up until recently....I see now why its FAIR to question certain things about the accused. We'll find out if she's right in time. And if she is we'll ALL have our deepest sympathy for her.

I agree 100%... As I said earlier, if he is charged he deserves to be suspended as that is FSU policy. If he is guilty of rape, he deserves to sit in prison just like any other rapist.

This could go either way right now but it's definitely wise to do a little research yourself on things. There has been a lot ESPN and other major networks haven't covered that have since been confirmed.

Absolutely, she deserves full justice and peace of mind if true.

I fully support Winston cause well one he's not even charged with anything yet and two based on all the evidence we know of I see nothing that proves he raped anyone.
