So then if the jury finds him not guilty, would he be reinstated?

Yep. If he's charged with a felony he is off the team until he is found not guilty....if he's found not guilty.

TIFWIW

But there is so much clutter going around.

People on campus think he's DONE. (about to be charged soon)

Trusted members on other sites think he's about to be in the clear soon..

Either way. We're about to find out soon enough.

Report: Jameis Winston could avoid suspension if charged with felony

FSU policy is to suspend any player charged with a felony, as was the case with wide receiver Greg Dent this summer. But the Sentinel reported language in FSU athletics’ code of conduct that allows for a player to avoid automatic suspension if “extraordinary circumstances” are present.

There is no way they would let him play if he's charged with a felony.

what are the "extraordinary circumstances"?

You're late to the party. That photo is not of the alleged victim.

I tend to agree with this... there's no way the'd let someone charged with rape play while waiting on his trial.... and if the university tried to, the ACC and/or NCAA should step in and suspend the guy.

but the media backlash if he were to play would be so overwhelming and a huge distraction, that they'd be better off with their 3rd stringer.

Guys I hate to break the bad news but Winston will be charged. Willie had affidavits from winston that say he had consensual sex with the victim. He didn't go ahead and get the DNA test done for the heck of it. He is building his case. He will charge Winston. That is his MO. Ole Willie does't mind losing cases. It's not his money and he gets re-elected.

I agree. We have to keep in mind, these are academic institutions after all. That is not the image they want to project, letting someone on trial for rape play football games.

no doubt... the negative publicity would be enormous.

and female enrollment would drop 60% for the following year... ironic since FSU used to be an all girls school...
