Trout/Middlebrooks are both putting up MVP type stats and you want a guy with a 3.84 xFIP to win it?
Hell, you could debate Felix Doubront is the better pitcher right now.

I agree, that is by far his worst stat and is caused by his high walk rate. Every other stat is quite good though.

trout is so good he's nearly mvp worthy. i can't see anyone close to him in the AL ROY.

I also don't expect Trout to keep this up. If he does, you're looking at HOF numbers as a rookie. Possible, but not likely. I just said Yu has a shot, especially if he gets well north of 200+ strikeouts. He has good numbers minus his walks.

His OPS+ is only 1 point lower than Harper's.
He's worth only .3 fewer wins in 30 fewer games.
The answer is clear IMO.

None of them will keep it up honestly. Mainly because they are so young.

That was more my line of thinking as well. Darvish is technically a rookie, but he is 5 to 6 years older than Trout. I have seen Trout play a lot too and I have always been impressed, but to keep those numbers up would be quite a feat. If he does, we aren't talking about ROY for him, but rather MVP as well.
If I were a betting man, I would say Darvish has a greater chance of keeping his numbers like they are. But you never know with baseball.

fricking Trout is on pace to be in the AL MVP race, you can forget ROY for anyone else.
