I could see most of the playoffs being shrunk to best of 3 or 5. I wonder how much this will impact the salary cap next year?

I think they will just cancel the rest of the season including the playoffs. By the time they will be able to pick up play it will be the middle of summer. The ice conditions will be terrible.

Toronto just banned all public events until June 30 so that kind of throws a wrench in things

There is no "kind of". It defintely complicates matters. While it's not ideal, it may be necessary to play games without fans.

Please please please. It could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for the NHL to reintroduce the NHL game to baseball/NBA/ football fans. People really don’t know what they are missing.
