It’s crazy something like can happen to a professional athlete in tip top shape without any big hit or minimal contact. I think something like this happened to a Stars player years ago. Thankfully, he was OK.

Glad he’s OK. Happened to Jirí Fischer for the Wings too right? I think it ended his career.

But I just hope they’re able to fix whatever caused it so he can live a long quality of life. I think Fischer was able to have surgery to help him and he’s 40 now. I’d hate to see him have to hang it up but I want the guy to live a long time and if that means staying away from hockey then that’s what he should do

Worst part, is that the Dads are with the team on this trip, so Jays Father was in one of suites as this was going on. But better he be there, with him as he went to hospital, than see it on tv and not be able to do a thing.

It also brought back memories of Pronger’s collapse in Detroit.

I was watching last night and hearing the trembling in Darren Pang's voice, it felt like it could have ended much worse than it did.

Love Jay Bouwmeester. All the best to him and his family.

Yep. It was good to see him win the Cup after all those years he was stuck in Florida.

Sources say Shea Weber injury has his season likely over and his future in question. Told injury is related to foot that was surgically repaired in 2018. While waiting for swelling to alleviate and further confirmation, surgery seemed unavoidable going into this week. @nhl #weber

Dang, that sucks. He shouldn't have said what he said, but considering it's a Barstool podcast, it really wasn't that bad.

America and Canada lost a GOOD MAN today.

Armstrong says Bouwmeester needed a defibrillator to "revive him."

Something like that did happen to Fischer. I don’t know if it ended his career or not.

I remember that too. Pronger was hit in the chest with the puck.

That’s too bad. I liked Roenick. But he should have known his bosses weren’t like to like what he said about his colleagues before he said it.

Maurice signs a new deal with Jets. So he’s not going anywhere. Elliot Friedman said on his 31 Thoughts podcast that Byfuglien is likely gone.
